Spokane Valley-based aerospace repair and overhaul company SkyOne Aerospace LLC has found a new home at 10305 E. Buckeye Lane, in Spokane Valley.

A representative of SkyOne couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

The company, which specializes in serving the military aerospace market, purchased the roughly 30,500-square-foot two-story commercial and industrial facility last month for $1.2 million by Weston, Florida-based RDTG Realty LLC, according to county assessor’s records.

The building is located next door to Waynco Construction Inc. and is just west of Intermountain Wood Products in the Valley, just south of Trent Avenue and the BNSF railroad tracks.

SkyOne has been searching for a new home to accommodate its expected growth for some time, company president and owner Gary Owens told the Journal in August. Owens is also a managing member of RDTG.

At the time, the company had been negotiating a short-term lease agreement to occupy 18,000 square feet of space at 5217 E. Broadway, in Spokane Valley, as a temporary fix for its expansion plans, but the deal fell through, says Doug Byrd, of Spokane-based Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, who was involved in the leasing transaction. Byrd declined to disclose why the transaction fell through.

Byrd also handled the transaction involving the Buckeye Lane property.

The company currently occupies roughly 5,000 square feet of space in a multitenant building at 2205 N. Woodruff Road. 

Owens earlier had estimated SkyOne would need at least 30,000 square feet to accommodate the company’s expected growth.

As of early August, the company had 17 employees, Owens told the Journal; he expected the number to double within the next three years as the company continues to expand.

SkyOne Aerospace was founded in 2015 and specializes in the repair and overhaul of aircraft oil controls. 

The company is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and focuses on multi-engine military transport and tactical planes, specifically the Northrup Grumman E-2 Hawkeye and Lockheed P-3 Orion series aircraft models, and most Lockheed C-130 models.
